Satie Takeda Berger
an inspiring place. There I experienced an important moment in my life where I had a great professional and personal growth.
I am a Ph.D. candidate at the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC), Brazil. I graduated in Production and System Engineering at the State University of Santa Catarina (UDESC) and I have a Master degree in Production Engineering at UFSC. I was a visiting researcher at BIBA (Bremer Institut für Produktion und Logistik) between 2019/2020 and I was part of IGS group (International Graduate School for Dynamics in Logistics). My main activity during my exchange was working with the collaborative project AdaptiveSBO, under the leadership of Prof. Dr.-Ing. Michael Freitag (BIBA) and Prof. Dr.-Ing. Enzo Morosini Frazzon (UFSC).
After a long productive day in doctoral workshop, we finalized with a delicious dinner and great time with friends. But, when it's time to come back home, I opened the door of the restaurant and surprise... all covered in snow. It was my first time seeing snow. I felt like a child playing on the street.
Leaving my comfort zone for new challenges and specially learning about new cultures.
